Entre “Décollage” e “Canção da volta”, temos a jornada: 6 faixas e uma travessia. A cada canção, uma memória pode emergir à superfície; ora como bolinhas de ar vindas lá do fundo, ora como um submarino que atravessa a linha d’água e bagunça tudo ao redor. Memória daqui pra frente. Décollage não é um álbum melancólico, embora provoque uma grandiosa e orquestrada força centrípeta, pra dentro do peito. Tem saudade, sim, mas saudade é tão bom. É um lugar no espaço-tempo onde podemos estar no agora, no ontem e no amanhã; sabendo que o tempo linear é uma invenção, optamos por rompê-lo. Como o olfato que pode nos remeter a uma sensação precisa da infância, a música do Alles Club nos conecta à linha no centro da estrada, ao som ritmado do trem sobre os trilhos, ao vácuo de uma espaçonave, ao aconchego sacolejante do ônibus noturno. Nos liga, à jato, ao espaço sem tempo ou ao tempo sem espaço, possível sempre e apenas numa viagem. O percurso é só presente; tudo é possibilidade. Uma liberdade difícil de dizer, mas que reconhecemos à primeira escuta. Ou na segunda, terceira, centésima. Dependendo do trajeto, dá pra ouvir o disco todo algumas vezes. A parede sonora de guitarras distorcidas pode te levar às lágrimas, e o trompete, o piano, te levarem pra um lugar onde as emoções tomam forma. Não será um delírio se você reconhecer temas e motifs ao longo do LP. O que chamo de recursos mnemônicos, refrãos da mente, rememoração prospectiva. E antes. mesmo que seu avião – ou o do álbum – aterrisse ou que o trem chegue à estação, Brasil, Suíça e Portugal estarão entranhados em seus ouvidos afetivos. Os amigos e parceiros colaboradores do disco, vindos de diferentes cantos do mundo, cantos de vozes e de baleias, agora também serão seus. Só você pode fazer o seu caminho. Então, aprumese. In between “Décollage” and “Canção da volta”, the journey takes place: 6 tracks and a crossing. With each song, a memory might surface; at times like air bubbles sparkling from the bottom, at others like a submarine that cuts through the water line and ripples the waters in every direction. Memories that begin now. Décollage is not a melancholic album, albeit exerting grandiose and orchestrated centripetal force, inwards towards your chest. There’s longing, for sure, what in Portuguese we call saudades; and it feels nice. It’s a place in time-space where we can be in the now, in yesterday and in tomorrow; knowing very well that linear time is an invention, we choose to break it. Like the smell that can take us back to precise childhood sensations, the music of Alles Club connects us to the yellow line in the middle of road, to the cadenced sound of a train on rails, to a spaceship vacuum, to the swaying coziness of a night bus. It connects us, in light speed, to timeless space or spaceless time, always and only possible while on a journey. The path is an all-encompassing present; everything is possibility. A freedom that is difficult to phrase, but recognizable at first listening. Or second, third, hundredth.
Depending on your course, you can listen to the entire album a few times. The sound wall of distorted guitars can bring you to tears, and the trumpet, the piano, might take you to a place where emotions take shape. You won’t be delirious if you recognize themes and motifs throughout the LP. What I call mnemonic resources, mind refrains, prospective recollection. And even before your plane – the album – lands or the train arrives at the station, Brazil, Switzerland and Portugal will be entangled in your emotional ears. Friends and partners who collaborated on the album – from different corners of the world, singing human and whale songs – will, by now, also be your pals. Only you can follow that road. So cheer up.
